SonnenHaus takes its name from the German for sun house, and the layout earns it: a single-level plan with an open, airy floor plan, a fully fenced yard and a private pool that catches the Florida light most of the day.

Four bedrooms sleep eight — two kings, a queen and two twins — with a television in every room. Two full bathrooms serve the house, one with a bathtub, and there is an outdoor shower for coming back from the beach.

No stairs anywhere, parking for three to four cars, and beach towels, chairs, an umbrella and a cart already provided. The sand is a five-minute walk away, and bikes are there for everything further.

A five-minute walk to the Gulf

Redington Beach is residential and low-rise, which is what makes a five-minute walk to the sand possible in the first place. The house sits close enough that the beach becomes something you do twice a day rather than once, and far enough back that the yard and pool stay private. Waterfront dining, shopping, boating and the wider Tampa Bay area are all a short drive.
